Volunteer Tourism

Volunteers in community based tourism with environmental conscientious activities

We strongly believed that the local community must be the principal beneficiary of the tourism sector!!! With the aims to include and benefit local communities particularly indigenous peoples and villagers in the rural area that host tourists in their village, managing the scheme communally and sharing the profits we believe local people should get a fair share of the benefits/profits. And we always says let the local community benefit from the tourism sector. An equivalently environmental conscientious tourism activity is our precedence as we take tourists to the different attractions throughout the country; we recognize our obligations to operate our tours in responsible sustainable environmental friendly fashion. In doing so, we can provide authentic and interesting responsible experiences to our esteemed customers.

Community tourism (sometimes called community-based tourism) is a form of tourism which aims to include and benefit local communities, particularly indigenous peoples and villagers in the rural area (i.e. 'developing areas'). For instance, villagers might host tourists in their village, managing the scheme communally and sharing the profits. There are many types of community tourism project, including many in which the 'community' works with a commercial tour operator, but all community tourism projects should give local people a fair share of the benefits/profits. And we always says let the local community benefit from the tourism sector!!!

Stunning Ethiopia tours mission of the Cultural Restoration Tourism Project is to help communities around the country restore artifacts of cultural importance and to promote responsible tourism through the advancement and use of volunteer tourism. There is growing concern over the destruction of cultural heritage around the country and also about the possible negative effect of tourism in tourist destinations. Our company with the alliance of other organizations actively addresses these two major global and nationwide issues with a ground-breaking approach to both. Around the world including Ethiopia, communities are losing precious relics and cultural identity. To decipher this situation, modern tourism often exploits these areas. Tourism is the largest industry in the world, yet seldom, if ever, is it used in a constructive manner. According to the World Tourism Organization less than ten percent of all tourist dollars make it into the hands of local communities.

To further our commitment to serve various communities it is our belief that the preservation of culture and artifacts is important to maintain diversity and identity on an ever-shrinking planet. By inviting volunteer tourists to participate in these community restorations we bridge cultural gaps. This allows for a deeper understanding of a culture from both sides.

Volunteers could also get involved in more specialized activities like child care/children, Orphans, Street kids, tourism related responsibilities, music, baking or carpentry, or could teach English, sports, math and other subjects in school. Volunteers can do anything they would like to do. Our company offers the best projects that focus on matching the interests, skills, and experiences of volunteers with their volunteer work.
